Where Advertising Dollars Go
Advertising on Frisco Famous pays for our community sponsorships. After taxes and the cost of operating, what local businesses pay to advertise here goes to Frisco teams, community groups, creators, and events.
1. A business advertises
A local business buys a placement on Frisco Famous.
2. It goes into the fund
After taxes and operating costs, what they pay is set aside for community sponsorships.
3. We sponsor a local group
We review every request personally and give what the fund allows.
We will post the running totals here as advertising comes in.
Why the two numbers are not the same
Frisco Famous is part of a business, so advertising income is taxed like any other income. Some of it also goes to payment processing fees and the basic costs of keeping the site and our email running. What is left goes to sponsorships, and the more local businesses advertise, the more we can give.
